Triangle-area soccer pubs

Triangle Soccer Fanatics was first started back in 2002 as a Yahoo! Groups mailing list looking to connect local soccer fans who wanted to gather together in pubs to watch footy on television.  Continuing that tradition, Triangle Soccer Fanatics provides the following list of recommended viewing locations around the Raleigh-Durham-Cary-Chapel Hill area and as much information as we can about each pub.

Please note:  This list is neither exhaustive as there are many more places in the area where people watch soccer, nor is it a directory of every place in the Triangle with a TV and a sports package.  We have validated this list to the best of our ability.  If you are a bar owner or a supporters club member who can provide further information on a viewing location, please use our contact page to provide the details and we will update this page accordingly.

We recommend you call the pub in advance to ensure opening hours and match availability.

Lonerider Beer is an official partner of the Carolina RailHawks and sponsors The Depot, home of the Triangle Soccer Fanatics on match day.  TSF gathers at Lonerider's brewery for RailHawks away match watching parties.  The Hideout serves Lonerider's Ales for Outlaws and typically has a food truck present for those wishing to eat. Please note that The Hideout does not have regular TV service and the match watching parties at Lonerider are special events.  While we hope to see you here for every RailHawks away match, we do not recommend The Hideout for non-RailHawks viewing events.

The London Bridge Pub, located in downtown Raleigh, was tapped by Buzzfeed as the Best Bar in North Carolina to Watch Soccer and we are not going to argue.  Owned by a group of Liverpool supporters, the London Bridge welcomes fans of all teams, but you may feel in the minority on match day if you aren't rooting for the Merseyside Reds. The nearest parking decks in downtown Raleigh are Wilmington Station and Moore Square decks, both of which are generally free on evenings and weekends except during special events.

Matthew Beason, owner of Mattie B's, is not only a big Chelsea fan and a chapter leader of American Outlaws Durham, he's also an excellent restaurateur.  Part of Beason's Six Plates family of restaurants (Pop’s, Rue Cler, Nana’s, Six Plates), Mattie B's, under the direction of Beason and Chef John Eisensmith, serves some of the best traditional American sports bar fare you'll find in the Triangle.  They even offer a pancake breakfast at 9:30am for those looking for a place to watch Premier League matches on Saturday mornings.

The Italian Pizzeria III is an institution on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill. Brothers Angelo and Vincenzo Marrone have been serving up authentic Italian pizza in Chapel Hill since 1980.  They've been screening soccer (or calcio as they call it) for almost as long.  Voted many times by The Indy Week readers as the Best Place to Watch International Soccer in the Triangle, you can count on the big screen TVs at IPIII to be tuned to a match, especially when the Azzurri are playing. For information about parking in downtown Chapel Hill, please visit ParkOnTheHill.com.
